Farewell To The Boomers

Any Thursday 11 Aug saw The Boomers, Kati & Jens return to the Coast on en route to NZ. Geese met them at Kilcoy for a ride to Bell Bird Cafe for a bite before they headed to Beerwah to start the arduous task of stripping down bikes & cleaning every single item in their kit prior to inspection by AQIS.

Monday 15 Aug saw The Boomers leave the Coast one last time to head to Brisbane Port to be told the ship was overdue and the bikes would have to be bought back next week. A bit difficult as they were flying out to NZ on Wednesday. After more stuffing around by the shipping company they were finally allowed to leave the GS's in a shed but not without them being "embalmed" first. All was finally done and The Boomers left Oz for NZ early on Wednesday morning.

Kati & Jens pass their heartfelt thanks on to all the Wild Geese who have offered friendship, ridden & shared time with them during their stay here on the coast. Kai Ora Kati & Jens. Follow The Boomers on thier web site Link

It must be said that the camaraderie & genuine warmth offered to travellers, particularly those on two wheels, is one of the most endearing & enduring aspects of the motorcycling fraternity & one that is reciprocated throughout the world. Knowing that there will always be like-minded souls in far off places who will share our passion is very satisfying and one of the many reasons we all love our chosen mode of transportation.B)
