A message from Georgia & Mike

Och Ay, and its a lovely but not as warm as it could be Irish good morning to you all ! Sorry we have been a bit inncommunicado lately but our touring schedule has been frantic - the IOM was an experience, bikes of every description, the racing was spectacular when it happened (lots of delays due to the weather) I have lots of pics to to show when we return - haven't had time as yet to upload any- sorry! The ferry trips have all been in the wee hours of the mornings so our sleep patterns have been a bit out of kilter. Have been in Ireland for 2 days now and even though the weather has been cold & drizzly the spectacular scenery more than makes up for any discomfort on the bikes ! We have frequented many of the local pubs in our travels and have met just the nicest people! On Sat night we went for dinner at a pub called "Billy Andy's" about 3 miles out of Larne, where the locals have a jam session from 4-10pm- we were given a welcome thru song by one of the crowd and were befriended by a family who gave us the low-down on the town and its people, the music was amazing and it didn't take long before we also were singing along! Our new friends then kindly drove us back to our BnB with the local rugby anthems blasting away in the car! All in all we are having a ball, the people are wonderful, thelocal roads are twisty and tiny-a bikers dream, the scenery is awesome and the accomodation warm & welcoming. Michael has added his thoughts below- I have much more to addbut the sun has just come out-finally-so we will away while the going is good!!! Take care and love to all Georgia xxxxx

Hello All

All well, we have had a few minor bike problems which we sorted in Belfast

Sorry about not being able to keep the Facebook updated but we have taken alittle while to get sorted, we have had so little time to reflect on our travels, it should be a little better from now on. The B&B accomodation has been wonderful so far, the food and quality is just astounding when compard with OZ, all for about $100/night

We stayed in a fantastic B&B on the IOM , the owners were most gernerous. Our 4 days was wonderful, the racing was delayed due to rain and the way the racing circuit is set up it makes its difficult to move so every spare minute has been taken up site-seeing across the island as it has not being getting dark until 10.00pm. On our free day on the island the racing was on again due to the previous day's postponements. There are some beatiful sites on the island, if you get a chance take your boat to Peel, its a lovley harbour.

Finally caught the ferry to Ireland on Sunday nite at 3.00am , overnited in Larne and spent the day in Belfast, went to Queens University as they have a museum close by. The place reminded us of the Harry Potter school. Left yesterday and heading north to view the Giants Causeway, (check it out on the net) travelling via the beautiful coastal road, we overnited at Portstewart and will continue north today.

We are finding it difficult to keep up the communications but it should be a little better from now on as the IOM ferry crossing mean't no sleep for 24hrs. Ireland is truly beautiful but we are seeing little sun , we had to ride through rain yesterday. The weather temps are only about 10 degrees. The Irish are so friendly, a complete contrast from England where people don't engage easily.

Must say auvoir, believe its very cold at home, we are looking forward to seeing the sun when we head south !!!
