The Wild Geese

Girraween Nat Park

Three Geese recently flew in a flock of Eleven on a 3 day ride. The bikes were BMW 1200GS, R100GSPD, R1100S, 650PD, DUCATI 900 SS, ’74 750 GT[one owner], KWAKA 500 twin, GUZZI 1000, TRIUMPH TRIPLE, CAGIVA RAPTOR, YAMMY 750/4 shaft drive. Route was Mapleton, Kilcoy, Fernvale, Boonah, Killarney, Legume, then 30 K of fast dirt to Girraween Nat Park where we camped {dry]. After an early bushwalk, we rode to the BEECHMONT BLUES STOMP via Tenterfield, Casino, Kyogle, Lions Road, Beaudesert, We camped next to the hall, and luckily a couple of wives had arrived and erected a tarp. Camped in the drizzle amongst the cow pats. Day 3 was a dash up the M 1 via Nerang, to dry out some wet gear, though spirits weren’t dampened. 1000 KMS & raring to go again!
