The Wild Geese

Captain Nemo And His Yellow Submarine

I wish to nominate for an award or special citation
a man and machine that has won every ones’ admiration.

I refer of course to Captain Nemo aboard his amphibious yellow submarine,
who thinks the 1200GS is quite simply a wonderful machine.
And proudly boasts his Beema is the best bike around,
although at times has problems keeping his machine upon the ground.

Like ‘Superman’ he leaps the tallest obstacles in his path,
with such skill and daring that makes onlookers gasp.
However, only just the other day,
when aboard his favourite toy, was out to play.
He made his biggest ever mistake,
when trying to leap across a bloody big lake.

A crowd gathered and began to grow,
and watched the flight from the earth below.
“is it a bird” they cried “or is it a plane”
No! it’s just Captain Nemo aboard the GS again.

Now what goes up must eventually come down,
and a lesser man would surely drown.
On lookers cried out, for ‘twas their very worst fears
that walking on water has not been achieved for over two thousand years.
And as our hero sank in waters up to his chest
he praised the ‘Lord’ for Motor rad waterproofs and thermal vest.

Nothing daunted, he turned the bike around and pushed it ashore,
where the accolades of the 1200GS grew even more.
When it fired up first time and the onlookers thought they were dreaming,
as Nemo and bike charged off again he was really steaming.

Now the moral of this story is:
If you want your GS to really get up and go,
Just add copious amounts of H˛O.
