Any Sunday 30Sept
A great turnout for the 4P Ride to Somerset Dam (amended). Line up at the Coolum Coffee Club was the most impressive for quite a while. Many of the regulars & some new faces including some Girl Torque Chics which is always good to see. (Seen lurking in the area was a lad in lycra too. Not long to 13.10.07). Introducing one of our well worn routes to the new arrivals brought some smiles with views for miles. Rob was not up to his usual par (its been awhile) & mistimed the arrival at BP Landsborough where a good number were gathered in the warming sun.
(Sorry).
It later transpired that at least one Wild Geese missed the whole day whilst waiting at BP Mooloolah Connection.
Up the range & into the hills, cool breezes with winding roads and those great views again out to Woodford with a detour thru Bald Knob when the word on the CB alerted us of "hazards" in Maleny. A quick "muster" at the Bellthorpe turn off and on to Villeneuve, past the lock up and on to Kilcoy for the pit stop & lunch. Destination Somerset Dam was only achieved by Tor, Donna, Patrice, Chris & Rose who continued on whilst Girl Torque headed to Landsborough for a pre Philip Island meeting & the remainder of the Wild Geese returned to the coast via the very popular and little used Bellthorpe Rd. twisties. A final stop at Zana's where once again we were spoilt by the terrific team.
Thanks to all those who came along & for those that didn't, we look forward to catching up with you again soon.
